About
Leet Enterprises LLC is a founder-owned software company in North Carolina: small, deliberate, and built on respect that runs both ways. Small here means intentionally sized — never staffed past what the business can carry — not a stage we're passing through on the way to something else.
Formed in March 2024. We built the custom theme on Humble Genius, our brand site for published content, then spent a year in game development, where the founder hit a blocker that forced a change of direction — in a medium with infinite ways to make things "perfect," a solo developer who likes to anticipate everything ahead of time can chase graphics and gameplay optimization indefinitely. We then built an in-house AI toolchain and worked with frontier models, so we could understand the capabilities, set our own boundaries for how we would use them, and write about them from experience. Returning to the founder's roots, we pivoted to mobile app design in the fall of 2025. The first product has been in full development since January 2026.
Our mission is to prove that Business with a Human Imperative works in practice: that a company can prosper without someone else carrying the cost — that it can produce quality products without exploiting the people who use them, can be a trusted member of the community it works in, and can take from the world only what the work requires.
The world we want is one where this is the norm, not the exception: where the businesses you deal with stand behind what they sell, treat their employees as people, take only what their work and products require, and expect you to hold up your end as the owner or consumer.
Leet Enterprises was founded by Shannon Simpson, who has been building software since 1995 and has spent most of that career inside systems where privacy and security are the focus, not just a feature. The thesis is his, and it predates the company. Read more about the founder →
Everything we do follows from the thesis — read it in full — and the experiment is how we're proving it.
